Desktop app
RelayDev Desktop runs tickets, tests and scans on your own computer, with your own Claude Code, git and toolchain. Nothing leaves your machine, and no cloud sandbox is billed for the run.
Download
For Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer), signed and notarized. Download RelayDev for the latest version, open the DMG and drag RelayDev to Applications.
Local vs. cloud runs
A task queued to Ready for Local waits for the desktop app; one queued to Ready for Agent runs in a cloud sandbox instead. Pick the queue per task — local work stays entirely on your machine.
Linking a project
Sign in to the desktop app, then use Add project from folder and pick a local git checkout. If RelayDev already has a project for that repo it's linked — with its views, test cases and tasks — otherwise a new project is created.
What it does locally
- Claims the next "Ready for Local" task and runs the Claude Code adapter against your checkout.
- Uses your machine's own git, so credentials and commits are yours.
- Opens a pull request the same way a cloud run does — you still review and merge from RelayDev.
- Ships a terminal panel (Ctrl+`) and runs the project's Test Suite locally.
Building from source
The desktop app lives in its own package:
cd apps/desktop
npm install
npm run dev # build + launch ElectronRelease builds (the signed, notarized DMG on the download page) are made by the Desktop release workflow in CI, not on your machine.
It signs in with the same Supabase account as the web app and talks to the same project/task data.
